We're using the holiday period to compose individual pages for each city listed in the right column. In a change of plans, these pages will now serve two purposes.
1. We will compile any General Providers that are likely to offer free movie screenings.
2. A list of all available Specific Offers in that city will be listed at the bottom of the page.
For an example of what we're doing, check out Las Vegas. You'll notice that the specific offers will now include the date, time, and location of each screening, if known. Also, each page will be open for comments. We welcome any suggestions, especially those that inform us of any providers or screenings we may have forgotten.
Now that each city will have its own list of screenings, it makes less sense to write a master list of movies that are being screened. But since we've been doing it this way for a year, we'll stick with it a little longer.
Right now 17 movies are offered in the United States and Canada:
27 Dresses
The Bucket List
Cassandra's Dream
Cloverfield
The Diving Bell and the Butterfly
First Sunday
How She Move
Mad Money
The Orphanage
Persepolis
Rambo
The Savages
The Spiderwick Chronicles
Strange Wilderness
There Will Be Blood
Untraceable

Where is Pittsburgh?
Tonight, Thursday, Jan. 10, there's an advance screening of "Over Her Dead Body" at Southside Works Cinema at 7:30 p.m.
What happened to Memphis releases?
I can't wait until the Buffalo page is put up! But I will. [whistles]
Please, if you can, we would appreciate any screenings info you may have on Fort Myers, FL. Thank you, kindly.
I Think This Site Is Dead
Please add Memphis, TN to your lineup of cities. Thanks
For your Austin Info:
Every Thursday, the Austin American-Statesman's EXL ENT section has a page of local stuff goin' on - concerts, performances & such. If they have passes to give away, that's where to find the information, on that page, that day, in that section. They won't have passes every week, but if they do, there's one of two ways to get 'em. Either call in & wait for a call back or go to the office on South Congress & pick the pass up. Most recently, that's how Jenn & I were able to see Australia.
The Austin Chronicle updates their online contest page on Thursdays, not Fridays. I haven't been able to get an advanced screenin' pass from 'em lately, but I have gotten two "length of run" passes from 'em, one for The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor and the other for Flash of Genius.
Another local website to keep up with is http://www.trueviewreviews.net . I found out about them at the screenin' for Milk. They also have DVD giveaways.
Another, more rare (rarer?) option is Ain't It Cool News. Their free advanced screening of The Incredible Hulk was THE EVENT of 2008 for me. And I was able to get on the list for The Pineapple Express, too, but couldn't go, 'cause of the (ex)girlfriend.
I thought you would be interested in this story post about the outsider
